Agawam Club Dutch Villager
Theater Original Linen Photo

This is an original photograph on linen
that I have
had in my collection for a long time. This features a group
of theatrical actors. They appear to be posing for a scene from
the play they are in costume for ~ Dutch Villagers of Red Mill ,
maybe?
On the bottom of the photo is written 'Agawam Club'
The back is stamped 'Hooker, Howe, Haverhill, Mass.'
Underneath this is written in red ink 'Dutch Villagers Red Mill'
The Hooker-Howe Costume Co. in Haverhill MA is still in business
today. This may have been a photo used for advertising. Or
maybe the company sponsored a play.
Agawam is a town in Massachusettes, but I am not sure of the history on
this specific club. Red Mill is also a town in Massachusettes.
There are also reference numbers written on the back in red:
6 - #1
Drawer 21
This is an early photo, I cannot be entirely sure of the date, but
probably not any later than the early to mid 1900's.
Measures approx. 9 3/4" x 7 1/2"
$ 95.00
