Two Black
Velvet Roman
Vestment floral
embroidered Dalmatic
styled Robe,
Chasuble &
Stoles, Burse
Black velvet and
silk Liturgical
floral ornately
embroidered vestment
garments. This is
what I believe them
to be and ad
research has pointed
toward. If I am
incorrect in my
depiction please let
me know. Outstanding
pieces regardless.
Offered here are
five separate
piece's of history;
1. Dalmatic styled
robe with open
sides, open sleeves
and heavy white,
soft rose floral
embroidery.
2. Priest Chasuble
finely embroidered
with IHS symbol,
heavy floral
embroidery, close
ups show some loss.
Early label.
3. Long stole
4. Short stole
5. Benediction Burse
Large matching set.
The Chasuble is
labeled 'The M. H.
Wiltzius & Co.'.
It is believed to be
from the Milwaukee
area manufacturer
approx. 1897-1901.
Two pieces show a
small tag of sorts
with early script
suggesting the same
owner's name. Large
matching floral
design in metallic
type threads.
Purchased in old
estate with a
collection of like
garments. This set
is absolutely
gorgeous.
Striking dramatic
coloration. Just as
a display alone it
is worthy of much
conversation.
Superb condition,
with only small
signs of age. Very
small straight
sections of
embroidery showing
some loss, more so
on Chasuble.
The Burse shows wear
to the backside from
use. Please see
photos and email
with any questions
prior to purchase.
Thanks for looking.
