1930s Era Cream Enamel 'Alumesh' Whiting and Davis Handbag

 
 This is a lovely vintage Whiting Davis aluminum mesh (Alumesh) purse in a white/cream color. Zipper opening,  interior pocket, two handles that match the bag. Very pretty peach satin like interior.

Research shows these were made approx. starting in the 1930s into the '50s. Wonderful condition from a closed old store. Looks to be never used. Light dusty interior from years of storage.
Has a chainmail / beaded look and feel. Iconic design - perfect for adding that last authentic vintage touch to a rockabilly, pinup, mid-century outfit.

Handle drop is 5.5".

The purse is so nice and structurally sound. Sturdy enough for normal daily use or the occasional formal dress outing.
