Very cool old knife with a tin
painted handle. I don't know a lot about the piece. It's got
some age but not sure date of manufacture.
This came in an estate where I have to guess at least 40's.
Looks to be in good condition and the paint looks original.
Brown with a white boarder both top and bottom edge.
Some is missing due to age and handling use. The mark Whale
on the blade is very clear and there is a graphic of an
actual Whale. 'Made in Germany' along side.
This measures approx. 8.25" long over all, 4.25" handle and
4" blade.
I have not cleaned this or polished. I will leave that to
the buyer. Very light piece due to the tin handle. Neat gift
idea for the knife collector or for a carver.
