Fun novelty piece that was used for
picnics, camping or hiking etc. This particular cup belonged
to a DNR agent who was employed 1920s - 30s.
Very handy for grabbing a drink from a clear spring back
then.
When it is collapsed, the diameter is 2 5/8 inches. When
it’s open, it is 2 5/8 inches tall. The handle folds inside
the cup. The bottom reads “Patent Pending Hero Trade Mark.”
Although the cup shows it's patent date 1912, the actual
timeline is probably circa 1930s considering the heavy
aluminum.
Very nice vintage condition. The cap for the cup has surface
scratches and scuff marks from age and use. Please remember
you are buying antique / vintage items. There is going to be
wear on some of these old treasures.
