Fun old splint basket. It's a nice
oblong basket with a wooden bottom and a set of two bail
handles to carry it by. This piece reminds me of the basket
you would
carry bushels of wheat or fruit, vegetables. This is a great
piece to add to any collection or farm house decor.
The basket measures 21” in diameter. 11" across and 12"
tall.
The basket shows typical signs of wear and age with a few
condition issues. Note the few breaks in the bands.
I know this is pretty common for these old baskets but
wanted to state and show all sides. Still has a wonderful
presence.
Still a very sturdy, sits level and
again, fun and useful basket.
