This nice pine early 20th century primitive cabinet was used in an mom and pop mercantile in northern Minnesota. This features 16 drawers with small metal knobs or handles. Original early craftsmanship where the maker created an everything and anything purpose for their stores different trades in a small town. Very clever primitive piece put together with cigar boxes. As the photos show, some of the labels and some drawers have dividers. There are numbers on the cabinets surrounds.
Perfect addition to the folk art or tramp art collection or unique home decor in a kitchen, sewing room or industrial setting. This held items such as nails, screws -- paper labels state Shaving Tools, Stock, Sundries, Bridges, Violin strings, thread and more. The cabinet is nicely proportioned has retained a very nice patina over the years. All drawers slide easily in and out. Desirable country primitive.
