Here we have a beautiful 1880s original Apothecary cabinet out of a old Pharmacy in Western Minnesota. Attractive deep red paint from probably 1930s or 40s. Oak with it's original finish underneath the paint.
This is a great piece for both it's pleasing visual effect and the amount of display and storage. Holds a huge selection of books above or can be used for decorative display.
Sixteen generous deep dovetailed drawers to hold anything from kitchen gadgets and towels, magazines fit perfectly in the drawers, bath accessories, bedroom goodies and linens and more.
This is a piece out of my collection and it is fabulous for holding my large stash of cabinet card photographs.
The top of this tall cabinet has grooved detailing. The photos don't do justice and I will hopefully be adding more soon as it's in use. Beautiful wainscot backing. The drawers have nice iron pulls.
The drawers are slightly graduated. Top row being somewhat smaller than the bottoms. Looking at the piece it is hard to see the difference in the drawers.
Approx. measurements are:
4 ft 1/4" wide
8 ft 3/4 in tall
15.25" deep bottom and 9.5" at bookcase section without cornice
This is in terrific condition with some slight wear to paint on the bottom edge of the cabinet and lower few drawers. See photos.
