More Information

This is a great twentieth-century product that shows the American strength in improvisation.
The previous maker has shown us how to create people-friendly, workstation-friendly solutions for everyday needs with this folky cabinet.

Perhaps this is a piece that was found thrown out....perhaps the legs at some point became rotted or broken, but no matter what, the resourceful previous owner found something to be saved and resurrected it.
Probably something of a carpenter, he fixed it!

The front legs were crafted and joined in such a way that is fun and practical with a sculpted similarity to the upper portion. The backs are simple and again, practical and do the job.
All finished many years ago with a varnish that has seasoned the piece to looking like the warm, charming, folk-art piece that you have here.

The two lower arts and craft knob handles look original, the handmade wooden handles both center and upper look to be fabricated surely by the same clever maker. All else look original including the back splash.

Approx. measures:
51" long
37" tall without splash, 40" with splash
19" deep

This is as found in an old attic....stored dusty and forgotten. Some mischievous critter found a way to create a living quarters through the back when cold....luckily that was years before we found the piece.
Outside of the back panel damage (which can be left or replaced), there is no other remnants of the furry homemaker.

Just imagine the history....and conversation this piece will add to your one of a kind home. Please see and enlarge photos and email with questions.
