Large old work table showing a
beautiful early red wash paint or stain and tapered
legs. This table was probably built of home use and
someone thought it should be relegated to the work shop
or garage.
So even though the beauty shows through it's got a few
battle scares. With some tlc and a little know how the
red can be saved and perhaps blended in spots. Would
hate to see that great color go.
This table would function very well as a sofa or console
table or even an outstanding kitchen island with a large
and spacious one board constructed shelf underneath and
a two board shelf top.
So many possibilities. Use in the babies nursery for a
changing table or in an artists den to hold all your
supply's.
It's surface does show some wear, mostly on the lower
shelf as it harbors a strong scratch and two water
rings. Again, with the right hand, it can be blended,
waxed and worked in to come back to life.
On the top in on corner someone had a vise attached.
Still nothing so significant it stops from it's Country
appeal, just more conversation in the piece's history.
Made of fir (pine), this table measures 72.5 inches in
length. 22 inches wide and 30" tall. The lower
shelf is 16" deep and 12" off the ground.
