A charming pair of country pine corner
cabinets that were hand made and kept in the same family
till our purchase. We were explained that the father's
father custom crafted these for their home approx. late 30s
early 40s. These are one piece cabinets. Each with an open
front fixed shelved top on a lower painted door base, fitted
with a drawer in the center.
The finish is in excellent condition for the age. The patina
warm and desirable. Note the very attractive blue that was
painted in both lower interiors and drawers. Really makes
the piece pop when opened. Paint is consistent with age of
the piece.
This piece has a great amount of display in the upper
sections and generous storage below.
Approx. measurements:
Height: 78"
Width: 44"
Back corner to side of the cabinet: 33.5"
As would be expected with a piece of this age, here and
there are very minor, normal use dings and mars on this
vintage furniture but nothing drastic.
The main issues are:
Inside lower cabinet on the left shows that a quick repair
with two slats because the inner panel split.
Two wooden knobs missing on same cupboard, easy to find and
replace.
Again, same cupboard on left shows something at some time
was affixed inside that left a small hole in upper portion.
