College (ISU)
Item #: BNT3294 Our price: 2850.00 |
A large Arts & Crafts Iowa State College School Maple bookcase. Originally part of the early College library. Featuring an attractive Sky Scraper design on each side with a pinned tenon. Recessed sides and paneled back highlight the craftsmanship. There are six large deep shelves that were found with the piece. More can be made by a woodworker if needed. Each a notched adjustable shelf so they can be placed in any position to suit your collection or display. Great for tall sculptures, trophies, pottery, clothing display etc. We held all our oversized books in it and art pottery and it was gorgeous. The lower section shows two large openings separate from the open top.
This is an early turn of the century very well made impressive bookcase. Copious amount of display. Aged patina throughout. Very good condition for it's years. Would be a great conversation piece in the right setting, home or shop.
