Design & Craftsmanship
Tree of Life carvings on the sides — a symbol of endurance, faith, and family lineage, reflecting the spiritual convictions of the family. Fully hand‑carved surfaces, with visible tool marks and depth that cannot be replicated by machine work. Fluted pilasters and architectural corner brackets, blending folk carving with late Victorian and Eastlake influences. Balanced two‑section design, showing a maker who understood proportion, utility, and ornament.
Solid, sturdy, and well‑preserved for its age. The carvings remain crisp, the structure sound, and the finish retains the warm patina of a century of careful stewardship.
