Details


Early vitreous stoneware bottle by Bourne Denby Pottery, near Denby England. It is stamped near the bottom as shown in an oval insised mark. impressed oval “BOURNE DENBY” stamp, without “Ltd” or “England,” matches the Victorian–Edwardian utilitarian period (ca. 1850–1930). The bottle has a round flat base, straight rising sides ending at an incised shoulder, a curved neck, and an opening with a spout and looks to be in very good condition outside of a small chip to the shoulcer, see photos. Normal few manufacturing defects consistent with production techniques. The bottle is brown in color and is salt glazed. It is thick and heavy..
