Possibly Made in the 1910s to 30s ...
estate purchase years ago. Adorable bear with a stocky build
and a lovely face. Swivel head and jointed at shoulders and
hips. Eyes appear to be dark thread, so black, hard to tell.
Nose and mouth, orange or rust colored heavy thread or yarn.
Wear to his soft velvety pads and what may be mohair body,
worn in places. The story this little guy could tell about
his life!
He Measures approx. 10 Inches tall by 6.25 inches wide at
the spread of his arms.
He has no tags that I can see.
Stitched at the back by hand as can see in photos. The
mechanism I feel at his tummy may be an old squeak or voice
box? Not sure. it's not heavy or large.
