This is a classic mid‑century Tonka Toys steel dump truck, manufactured in Mound, Minnesota, during the era when Tonka’s pressed‑steel vehicles became icons of American toy design. The truck features:
- Pressed‑steel construction with Tonka’s signature durability
- Red cab with original paint showing age‑appropriate wear and chipping
- Green dump bed, manually tilting, also with visible play wear
- Tonka Toys “Mound, Minn.” decal on the cab side—an important indicator of early production
- Black rubber tires with silver metal hubs, consistent with late 1950s builds
- Detached black metal tailgate
beside the truck, missing top bar (can be replaced)
